Spectrum Highline
The Spectrum Highline was one of the biggest and most beautiful highlines ever to be walked in an urban environment in the UK. Rigged on an iconic listed building designed by Sir Norman Foster, one of Britain’s most prolific architects, this line fit perfectly with the geometry of the external steel structure. It was like the line was always meant to be there!
The event itself was organised not only to set an amazing highline but also to raise money and awareness for my part in charity Performers Without Borders’ 2014 project in Nicaragua, Central America, teaching performing arts to vulnerable children. Have a look at their website to see what wonderful work PWB do in countries of high child poverty. www.performerswithoutborders.org.uk
Although organised by myself, big thanks has to go to Tri-Slackling, Kidz About, and the small but fantastic crew of riggers who were all there to offer help and useful resources in all the right ways.
